How we protect your data: backups that actually work
In the digital world, data is the most valuable thing a business has. A website, customer database, orders, and payment history — all of this must not only be stored, but reliably protected. That’s wh…
🧱 1. Three levels of protection
We use an enterprise-level architecture:
1️⃣ Instant server snapshots
A full server image is created daily.
If something goes wrong, we can restore the entire system within minutes.
2️⃣ FastPanel backups
Websites, files, and databases are automatically archived on a schedule.
3️⃣ External cloud storage (Hetzner Object Storage)
All backups are stored in a separate data center in Germany, encrypted and isolated from the main server.
🔒 2. How encryption works
Your data is protected on two levels:
- In transit — via encrypted TLS connection (like in banking systems)
- At rest — using AES-256 (military-grade encryption standard)
Even in case of physical access to the servers, the data remains inaccessible.
🧑💻 3. Who has access?
Only the following have access to backups:
- our server
- secure S3 access keys
Without these keys, it is impossible to:
- read
- download
- delete files
♻️ 4. We keep history
We don’t just store the latest backup —
we keep versions for several days, so you can:
- roll back to yesterday
- or the day before
- or to a point before an error occurred
This protects you from:
- viruses
- hacker attacks
- human errors
🛡 Conclusion
We don’t cut corners on security.
Your data is protected the same way as in large SaaS services and banks.
Reliability is not an option — it’s a standard.
